Anti-Spam Policy
Spammers Please Go Elsewhere
Any user caught sending spam to people will have their account closed without refund.
Spam Defined
The textbook definition of SPAM is referred to as Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE). The UBE definition says that that some unsolicited emails may be legitimate to send to a single recipient, such as introducing your company. However, it is considered SPAM to do so in bulk to many recipients.
Despite the UBE definition, there are other activities not mentioned which are considered as SPAM. Here are the activities we consider as SPAM.
What NOT TO DO with ChiroVMail
- Send email to anyone who has not requested it.
- Send emails to people who have given you their email addresses but have not specifically agreed to sign up to your newsletter or to receive updates.
- Send emails to email addresses you have collected more than 3 months ago but have not yet emailed. These email addresses are considered stale and as a result may produce some SPAM complaints.
- Indiscriminately post links to your website in discussion forums, newsgroups or classifieds sites like Craigslist unless your link has relevance to a topic being discussed.
- Send email to lists that you have purchased, rented, leased, or acquired from a third party. This includes email addresses purchased through coregistration.
- Send unsolicited emails through a third party in order in an attempt to encourage recipients to subscribe to your email list, or to visit a website that you market using ChiroVMail.
